COVER PAGE
AKC All-Breed Licensed (or member) Agility Trials
If the club is allowing mixed breeds at their all breed event, add “This Event is Accepting Entries for Mixed Breed Dogs Enrolled in the AKC Canine Partners Program” on the cover page.
DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER
This trial is open to all dogs fifteen (15) months of age or older that are registered with the American Kennel Club or that have AKC Limited Registration, Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Privileges (PAL/ILP) or an AKC Canine Partners listing number, or approved Foundation Stock Service (FSS) breeds. The club’s bitches in season policy should be stated here too.
If the club is allowing mixed breeds to participate they may add the following statement to further clarify they are allowing mixed breed dogs to enter their event: Mixed breed dogs that have been listed with AKC Canine Partners may participate provided their listing number has been recorded on the entry form.
CLASSES OFFERED
Standard, Jumpers With Weaves, FAST. Novice A & B, Open, Excellent A & B, Novice Preferred, Open Preferred, Excellent A & B Preferred. Clubs should remove any reference to separate mixed breed classes in the premium list or other event related materials, as mixed breed dogs will compete in the same classes and earn the same titles as purebred dogs.
ENTRY FORM
The AKC agility entry form has changed. Email AKC's agility department to request this form in a Word format. Soon the revised form will be uploaded to the AKC website as a downloadable form. Exhibitors should be instructed to list “Canine Partner” (mixed breed) for the breed name on the entry form. No other breed description may be used to identify a mixed breed entry. Additionally, the exhibitor must provide their AKC Canine Partners listing number on the entry form and check-mark “AKC No.” on the form.
