Close enough, yes, and not ring side. It is likely you will wish to have a setup ring side. You may feel it's a bit of a distance from the parking area and would prefer to have your dogs closer to you.

No. There is no staking on the grounds. Exhibitors must use sandbags, water jugs or some other form of weight to hold down their setups. It is recommended to remove canopy covers overnight.

The running surface is grass which is surrounded by packed chat. There are park benches, plenty of trash cans, and new trees. See pictures in previous answer. The parking lot is dirt.

Magnificent! The city upgraded the park in the Spring of 2009. Area 4 is maintained specifically for dog shows and is not for public use. It is all new, very beautiful, and fenced off. Gamblers Agility Club of Greater Las Vegas along with the Silver State Kennel Club held their agility, conformation, obedience and rally trials there in April 2009; the first to be held on the newly renovated grounds.

Thank you for inquiring about our April trial. Agility will be located in the same area as last year so that we have enough room for our rings and exhibitors, and there have been improvements.
For those of you concerned about this being an area used regularly by the public, it is much less so since the public has had use of Area 4 — opened to the public soon after it our first show there in 2009. It has been observed that most folks who use that area tend to stay closer to the opposite end where our rings will be. We are comfortable running our dogs there, and we think you will be as well.
What about Area 4?
The "new" area, known as Area 4, will be dedicated to conformation, obedience, rally, vendors and food concessions. Agility was held in Area 4 once, two years ago, when it had just been opened. Clark County Parks & Recreation planted numerous trees on the West end of the park, so our agility rings will no longer fit alongside the other event rings.Soon after Area 4 opened, the public demanded it be open to them and since that time, at large, has taken over Area 4 which is now an off-leash area along with the other areas of the park.
A Personal Note from GACGLV's President
I must share with you that the last couple of times I was at Nevada Dog Fanciers Park, there were practically no dogs in the original dog runs (where agility will be located). The public has predominantly chosen Area 4 to run their dogs off leash. The agility rings will be secure due to our ability to use existing chain-link fencing. Fortunately, the County installed walk-through gates to move easily from one ring to the other. Also, flatbed motorized carts will be available to assist those needing help getting equipment to and from the parking lot.
